Special Republic Day Assembly Nur-S7
“Freedom of thought, strength in our convictions and pride in our heritage. Let’s salute our brave martyrs on Republic Day.”
The students of Shiwalik House from classes Nur-S7 celebrated 73rd Republic Day on January 20, 2022 through a virtual assembly. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity in diversity.
The assembly commenced with a talk signifying the importance of this auspicious day. The dance performances by the young budding stars of the school left everyone spellbound. A special PowerPoint Presentation was shown in which the students took pride in learning about the Constitution of India and how it came into effect. The students were delighted to learn about their fundamental rights and at the same time understood the need to abide by their fundamental duties. On the other hand our students also learned about Amar Jawan Jyoti, Rashtrapati Bhavan, march-past and tableaux of different states. The students were apprised in detail about all the armed forces that march magnificently on Rajpath past India Gate and the spectacular air show by Indian Air Force. Students of classes Nursery to P2 dressed up in different regional dresses of various states, danced on folk songs.
Monologues of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Sh. B.N Rau and Sh. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru were presented by students of classes S1 to S4. Senior students presented patriotic songs, instrumental music and dances paying homage to our rich cultural heritage as well as showcasing pride in the republic India.
It was a special moment and a great learning experience for the students. They learned about the importance of freedom and India being a democratic country that brings out the true meaning of togetherness.
