To make the students aware of and understand SDGs i.e. Sustainable development goals stated by the UN, a 'Sustainable Development Programme' was organised by the school on April 19 and April 26, 2022  for classes S1-S3. The activity was executed in two phases – in the first phase, the students were explained in detail about the 17 goals of sustainable development through a PowerPoint Presentation followed by a quiz on waste management.

 In the second phase of the activity, the students participated in a waste-segregation activity wherein students brought waste materials from their home and categorized them into three categories namely ‘Recycle’, ‘Reusable’ and ‘Repurpose’.

The students then visited the manure pit of the school to dump the biodegradable waste thus assimilating the process of manure formation.

The activity aimed to motivate students to learn and think critically about real-world issues and to take action in response to their learning.
