Trip to Jaipur, Sanganer
The Modern School ECNCR organized an educational trip to the Pink city, Jaipur for classes P4 & P5. 52 students accompanied by 5 teachers were happy as a clan to embark on the journey. It was a one night and two days trip which was full of hands-on learning experience, exhilarating moments and appreciation for Indian heritage and culture.
Day1
October 6, 2018, marked their visit to the palace of dreams -‘The City Palace’ where students admired the grandeur and beauty of the historic monument. The day unfolded with the history of the palace and showcased the tools, weapons and other things used in the war. The students also enjoyed the traditional puppet show at the venue. Thereafter, the group marched towards ‘Jantar Mantar’. The students were amazed to behold the view of the place and intrigued to learn the methods used to calculate time in olden days. Day 1 ended with a visit to the most enriching place ‘Chokhi Dhani’, where students learned about the lifestyle of the residents and their culture. They played fun filled games, enjoyed a magic show and many live dance performances. A grand great buffet of the traditional cuisine was a cherry on the cake.
Day2
The second day started with a filling breakfast and visit to a paper factory, where the students examined the making of handmade papers and shopped beautiful articles made out of paper. The next visit was to a block printing factory. The students were in awe of the beautiful traditional prints on a variety of fabrics. Each student was provided with a piece of cloth to arouse the artist in them. They were asked to try block printing with different colours on those cloth pieces. Children immensely enjoyed the activity and kept their masterpieces with them as a memento.
As the evening drew nearer, the students bid adieu to the admirable city that enveloped culture, beauty, and tradition of India. They returned with a kaleidoscope of memories and intricate essential learnings.
