“Colour is a power which directly influences the soul.”

Nature itself wears the smile of colours which makes the world look beautiful. With the objective of developing and reinforcing their visual perception of colours, Pre-primary department of the school celebrated 'VIBGYOR Week' from March 6-10, 2023. Various fun filled colourful activities were held during the week for our young modernites.

Colour Scavenger Hunt: Students of class Nursery  sorted  objects like balls, bottles, blocks based on colours whereas class KG learned the names for varied shades of colours .

Holi Celebrations: Holi ,a celebration of colour, an experience of content, harmony and delight was celebrated by our tiny tots using flowers. The celebrations ended on a note of high spirit and energy with a riveting dance performance by our young modernites as they danced and enjoyed with their classmates. It was a joyful celebration of Holi by one and all as they wished each other.
 
Magical Painting: Using white coloured crayon, students of class Nursery made patterns and students of class KG wrote three letter words on a plain sheet. They painted/coloured the sheet using different colours thus creating a magical world on paper.

Canvas Painting: Painting unleashes hidden creativity, builds up confidence, self-esteem and fosters cognitive abilities. Our tiny tots indulged in  Canvas Painting with the aim to convey ideas, express emotion, use their senses, explore colour, and create aesthetically beautiful art work. 

The week culminated with the learning of a lifetime as Art encourages creativity and imaginative thinking. Creating art is a great way to help children sharpen the skills in fine motor skills, eye hand co-ordination and strong visual-spatial abilities which leads to better memory and self-control.
