An assembly was conducted by Vindhyachal House students of Junior and Senior wing on 'Nelson Mandela' on July 15 and 18,  2022 respectively in the school premises. Students acquired knowledge about the world famous South African President Nelson Mandela who is referred to as ‘Gandhi of South Africa’.

Gandhiji’s philosophy and approach left an indelible mark on Mandela and it shaped his journey of freedom struggle in South Africa. A talk throwing some light on his life was presented along with a PowerPoint Presentation. A short discussion to highlight the points about this famous personality helped the students to know more about him.

They were sensitised about absolute determination and deep commitment of Nelson Mandela and Gandhiji to justice, human rights and fundamental freedoms.

A mellifluous poem which helped Nelson Mandela persist through extraordinarily challenging circumstances, 'Invictus' was also recited .The assembly culminated with a dance on popular song by Gandhiji ‘Raghu pati raghav raja ram…’
