Virtual Excursion -Antarctica - National Geographic Explorer
“If you think adventure is dangerous, try routine, it’s lethal.” ~ Paul Coelho
Corona has brought a pause to travelling and exploring. However, it could not stop the students from seeking adventure while being at home. To eradicate the boredom and bring excitement to an otherwise mundane life, a virtual excursion was organised for class S2 on ‘Exploring Antarctica: National Geographic Explorer’ on June 5, 2021 . The excursion began with an introduction where in the students were told about the importance of tours and travel. It was followed by showing a video made by the National Geographic channel, which motivated the young explorers to seek some adventure in Antarctica.
Students saw millions of penguins hatching their eggs and how leisurely the seals were enjoying in their natural habitat. In the end the students participated in a quiz which aimed to assess the students conceptually. Varini Poddar (S2 A), Vikunth Poddar (S2 B) and Ojasvi Joshi (S2 B) were the top scorers.
