Virtual Excursion S1-S7
“It’s better to see something once than to hear about it a thousand times.â€
Trips and tours are an intrinsic part of education. An excursion is not just a pleasure trip; it enhances the knowledge of the students beyond the four walls of the classroom. To provide such an enriching experience to students, virtual excursions were organised for the students of classes S1 – S7 on November 13, 2021 via online Zoom session
The tour commenced with an insightful Power Point Presentation. Students of class S1 journeyed thorough the African safari where they understood how important it is to conserve wildlife. The virtual excursion took the students of class S2 on a journey to explore the Mysuru Zoo where they experienced, observed and had a learning experience of the animal family, the
history of the zoo, the species of animals, the veterinary doctor’s care and the general
administration at the zoo. S3 students were entranced as they observed the judicial setup of India and analysed the judicial work of the Supreme Court of India.Â
Furthermore, the students of S4 got a golden opportunity to know more about the rich culture of Pacific Island and resilient corals through the tour. S5 students travelled to the moon virtually and caught a glimpse of the Moon’s habitability, its geography and technical names of craters existing on the its surface. The senior secondary classes, S6 and S7 explored the Swiss Alps and were enthralled by the mesmerizing beauty they witnessed.
The tour culminated with an online quiz wherein the students participated enthusiastically and following were the top scorers:
