The Modern School, ECNCR organised an educational virtual excursion to Kerala, a pristine destination commonly referred to as God’s own country for the students of P5 on August 29, 2020. The aim of the virtual tour was to let the students explore Kerala, learn about its cuisine and witness the beauty of the enthralling state.

The students were acquainted with the fact why Kerala is known by this name, the language spoken by the people and its scenic natural beauty and backwaters.

Children also travelled to Thekkady- Periyar National Park , took a small tour of the city and visited famous temple of Sree Padmanabhaswamy in Thiruvananthapuram. They saw the Cheraman Juma Mosque, the first mosque in India that was built in 629 AD and India’s first church, St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Church that was established in 52 AD in Kerala. The beauty of Munnar, a gorgeous hill station in the lap of the fascinating Western Ghats had a mesmerizing impact on the students. The students shared their experiences enthusiastically and enjoyed themselves immensely.
