An educational virtual excursion to the Northern Plains of India was organised for the students of class P4 on July 30, 2021.

The excursion gave the opportunity to the students to explore the plains of Northern India and also to get a hand-on experience of the enthralling places of Indus, Ganga and Brahmaputra basin.

The students were acquainted with vital information about the famous tourist attractions of Northern India. They explored Ladakh and its exquisite tourist sites like Pangong Tso, Thiksey Monastery, Nubra etc . They also learned about the activities people indulge in while visiting Ladakh, for instance, the Humpback Camel Ride. They were also apprised with the fact that one can do camping in Nubra and it's also one of the darkest spots in India for star gazing.

Rishikesh and its famous tourist places like Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula were also explored by the young modernites enthusiastically. They learned about why the place is called the land of temples. They gained knowledge about the famous activities that could be done there, in particular about River Rafting and Bungee Jumping. Thereafter, they also explored Haridwar and Varanasi, the Ganga aarti, the other famous places and their popular delicacies. They were astonished to see the colorful pictures which gave them the feeling that they were roaming there with their teachers and friends.

The students who had been to the places shared their experiences enthusiastically and those who hadn't visited the places expressed their desire to go there .The exuberant modernites were immensely happy with the virtual excursion and enjoyed themselves to the core.
