On June 05, 2021, the students of class S4 attended a virtual excursion to Western Ghats, one of the most bio-diverse regions in India as well as the world. The excursion started with the analysis of the importance of tourism and travelling, whereby the students became aware of the various types and benefits of tourism. Through a PPT and excursion video, the students came to know about the flora and fauna of the Western Ghats as well as the various issues within the region due to increase in population and unsustainable development. On the occasion of World Environment Day, through the excursion, the students felt inspired, enthusiastic and determined about making the world a better place to live in and preserve it for the future generations. The session ended with a quiz on The Western Ghats in which students participated with great zeal and performed fairly well.
