The Modern School, ECNCR organised an educational virtual excursion to various states of North India and South India for the students of P4 on August 29, 2020. The excursion enabled the children explore the states of North and South India and also witnessed their enthralling culture. The students were acquainted with a lot of information about different states of North India and South India and also differences between the culture, language, food, costume and different tourist attractions. Children explored Jammu and Kashmir-Paradise on Earth, its tourist attraction places like Gulmarg and Pahalgam etc. along with Himachal Pradesh- Land of Apples and Punjab- Land of Five rivers. They were elated as well as amazed to see the colourful pictures which gave them the feeling of a physical tour. In South India, children explored Andhra Pradesh- Food Bowl of India, Karnataka- Silicon Valley of India and Kerala- Spice coast of India. Children marvelled at the beauty of both the regions and expressed their wish to visit these places. Children could also differentiate between different food and costumes of both the regions as well learned about various dance styles.
