Visit Redfort
As said by Saint Augustine, “ World is a book and those who do not travel read only a pageâ€.
The Modern School, ECNCR organized an educational excursion to Red Fort, Delhi for the students of Class P5 on October 12, 2019. The Red Fort is an iconic symbol of Indian Heritage. As the group entered the monument, it crossed Chatta Bazaar. Then they saw the Naubat Khana and Diwan-e-aam. It consisted of a huge marble throne, embellished with carvings. Thereafter the group proceeded towards Diwan-e –Khas. Near it, there were private chambers where the king and the queens resided.
Moving ahead, they came across Moti Masjid, which was built by Aurangzeb. Opposite to it, there was Hammam, where the emperor used to bathe. Many beautiful gardens adorned the place. The students were told that on Independence Day, the Prime Minister hoisted the national flag at the main gate of the fort every year and delivered a nationally- broadcasted speech from its ramparts. It proved to be a golden opportunity for the students to learn about their rich heritage. They had a wonderful experience exploring the Fort.
