The Modern School ECNCR organised an educational excursion to Indigo Farm for the tiny tots of classes Nursery & KG on August 3, 2018. The lush green expanse of natural surroundings provided distinguished opportunity to the students to gain hands experience of organic farming, milking, nurturing animals and feeding them. The adrenaline rush on witnessing rabbits, fishes, hens, pigeons, cows and swans was evident on the faces of the students.

The concept of Junk Food vs Healthy Food was reiterated at the farms. The group also learned to plant trees as they saw a variety of them grown all over.

The vegetable gardens were in particular their favourite spot. The concept of domestic animals and animals products was also outlined during their visit.

The students immensely enjoyed watching the milking of a cow. They indulged in feeding fish and pigeons. They were particularly intrigued by the hens and the swans. They enormous fruit trees fascinated them.

All the students were excited to see and perform the activities planned at the farm for them. Overall it was observed that exposing students to experiences expanded their comprehension of the natural world that surrounds them.

In the words of a parent, who visited the farm with these tiny tots, Visits like these empower kids to make healthy food choices. Also in today's technological age this visit was like a breath of fresh air where they enjoyed activities while being connected to the nature.
