'The complete and perfect pattern of the life of a human being includes old age as well as youth and maturity. Old age has its pleasures, which though different, are not less than the pleasures of youth.'

The students of class P3 understood and realized the same when they visited an old age home in Narela  on  July 30, 2022.
There were two categories of old people ,  the ones who were abandoned and deserted by their families and others who were physically disabled and mentally disturbed. Whatever the case may be, the sufferers were the aged ones. Old age is also called the second childhood, and is a time when one needs love and care of the near and dear ones
The inmates were very hospitable and friendly, and they welcomed us with their beautiful smiles. To break the monotony of their lives, the young modernites presented a song and dance show for them. The children also made the elderly sing with them. The children then presented the residents, whom they addressed as dada , dadi, with greetings, biscuits, fruits  and hand-made pots etc.

Spending time at the old age home made everyone realize the value of their grandparents and the tenderness with which one needs to take care of them.
The children felt that through the visit,   love for their family, particularly their grandparents, had grown stronger and deeper.
They learned to value relationships as well as their responsibility towards family especially the elderly.
