World Dance Day
‘Dance is the hidden language of the soul.’
The Modern School, ECNCR, orgainsed a culture extravaganza to celebrate the occasion of World Dance Day in the school premises on April 29, 2024 with great zeal and enthusiasm. Smt. Seujpriya Borthakur Goswami, a celebrated Sattriya Dance practitioner of India from Assam who is a proud recipient of USTAD BISMILLAH KHAN YUVA PURASKAR, by Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, graced this occasion.
The event commenced with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony followed by felicitation of the distinguished guest of the day by the Honourable Principal Mr Rajiv K. Shrivastav. Smt. Seujpriya Borthakur Goswami, showcased her mesmerising dance skills before the students and also taught them some graceful and beautiful dance moves. She also highlighted the importance of being rooted to our rich and vibrant Indian Culture and tradition.
After the captivating performance by Smt. Seujpriya, there was an interactive session between the guest and the students where she answered the queries of some inquisitive minds related to classical dance. Towards the end of the celebration, the Principal Mr Rajiv K. Shrivastav, thanked and paid his gratitude on behalf of the Modern School to the astonishing and wonderful performer for her enthralling, charismatic and unforgettable performance. The event fostered appreciation among the students for different cultures and promoted the importance of dance as a form of expression and communication.
