World Earth Day Nur-P5
To sensitize children about the conservation of natural resources and to motivate them to do their bit towards making their planet even more beautiful, a special assembly was organised by the students of Himachal House from classes Nur- S7 on World Earth Day on April 21 and 22, 2022 with joy and verve. The assembly highlighted the importance of Mother Earth. A PowerPoint Presentation was given by the students emphasizing on the importance of afforestation, planting of trees and the need for everyone to put together their efforts and get into action, in protecting our environment. Students recited heart- warming poems, songs and dances on the theme displaying its significance. Presentations like role playing and Nukkad Natak giving a message to reduce, reuse and recycle as well as emphasising on not to pollute Mother Earth but to take necessary steps to save it, spread awareness among the modernites.
All students took a pledge on Earth Day to protect the earth from pollution and abuse.
A 'Tree plantation' activity was also organised for the students of classes P3 to P5 on April 20, 2022 during the House Meeting period as it is a great way to develop a bond between children and environment. The students understood that each one of them play a vital role in protecting and conserving the environment. The celebration of Earth Day rekindled emotive concerns and instigated the youngsters to save, love and respect Mother Nature with all their heart and soul.
A talk on the topic of ‘Save Soil’ is association with ISHA Foundation was also held under the ‘Sustainable development Programme’ to awaken students about the need to protect soil.
