World Population Day from classes P3 to S7
'You cannot control your own population by force, but it can be reduced with education.'
The students of Vindhyachal House from classes P3 to S7 organised a special assembly on World Population Day on July 8 and 7, 2022 respectively.
The purpose was to update the students about the current and concerning status of population all over the world, its reasons and repercussions on the entire humanity.
The initiative was first started in the year 1989 by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Through an interesting and informative assembly, everyone was sensitized about the need to stabilize population. The children understood the harmful effects of population growth through a PowerPoint Presentation, short skit and Nukkad natak presenting the same issue.
The students also expressed their deep concern and care for the healthy growth and safety of the human race through a wonderful poem and dance presentation. They showcased the consequences of the population explosion that included food and water shortage, war and social conflict and depletion of natural resources.
The assembly aimed at educating the youth who could bring about a population revolution globally and help in combating the population issue.
